गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरःForty-eight years of teaching.
Thousands of lives quietly transformed.
The Teacher
Since 1978, Professor Ravindra Kanade has stood before classrooms in Mumbai and done what great teachers do: made difficult things feel possible. Generations of students — many the first in their families to pursue higher education — passed through his classes and left with more than notes and marks. They left with confidence.
His students remember the same things. The chalk that never stopped moving. The insistence that no question was too small to ask. The extra hour after class for anyone who was struggling, given freely, year after year, for nearly five decades.
Many of those students are now engineers, doctors, bankers, civil servants, founders, and teachers themselves, in Mumbai, across India, and around the world. This page is for them.
"A teacher's work is never finished. It just walks out the door and into the world."
The Roll Call
A classroom's real results show up years later. Former students of Prof. Kanade now work and serve at organisations including:

The Guestbook
If he ever taught you, last year or thirty years ago, write him a message here. Tell him where you are now, what you remember, or simply say thank you. Every note is read and verified before it's pinned to the board below.
